For several years, 25th of April is celebrating as the day of the Chechen Language Day. Ramzan Kadyrov, head of Chechen Republic has published a message in connection with this important day.

Dear compatriots,

I congratulate you on the Day of the Chechen language! The celebration of this young festival has become a tradition for our nation. I must note that the republic’s leadership creates the necessary conditions for development and improvement of the Chechen language.

The first President of the Chechen Republic, Akhmed-Hadji Kadyrov said that we cannot be a nation without our language. Despite all the difficulties which were faced by the Chechen society during the counter-terrorist operations, he paid a great attention to the development and dissemination of the Chechen language in all spheres of the life. He ordered to publishing newspapers, magazines and books in our native language. He paid a particular attention to the theatrical productions, television and radio broadcasts, as well as the concerts in Chechen lanaguage.

Today, the republic’s leadership continues this practice. But all the efforts from the executive authorities, academic and artistic people, if we don’t use the Chechen language in our daily life, then there will be no proper results.

In my opinion, the Chechen language is one of the most beautiful language in the world. Our fathers and grandfathers saved our language from generation to generation by love. And our task is to preserve and improve our native language.

Happy holiday!

Ramzan Kadyrov
Head of the Chechen Republic
